Hargreaves Logo

Top of the range high-tech equipment has been invested in order to create one of the largest, most successful micropropagation laboratories in the UK.

The lab is always keen to offer assistance to anyone thinking about placing their varieties through tissue culture. The benefit of this process is it offers a fast track method of propagation for many varieties, meaning you can achieve demanding numbers in a shorter space of time and space.

There are many other benefits of the micro propagation process, including the guarantee the plants will remain true to type, the capability to produce large volumes rapidly as well as producing a more well-established healthy plant which often go onto produce a higher yield of flowers/fruit.

New plant material is sourced and initiated annually, typically between May – July in order to work with fresh material to achieve successful and top-quality results every year.

The micro propagation is always excited to take on new material so if this is a method you are contemplating, feel free to get in touch to discuss your next venture further.

Hargreaves Plants does also offer support to anyone wishing to create new protections or work with existing protections so guaranteed assurances are in place prior to propagation, to learn more about this read up about IP on our Intellectual Property page.

Visitors are more than welcome to come visit our laboratory by appointment only outside our busiest period and this is a great way to meet the team, discuss opportunities and see for yourself the large-scale production our lab achieves as well as get a better understanding of the process.
