The Plant

  • Crop begins mid-late August right through until the frosts
  • Self-fertile plant with thornless bushes
  • Less hardy than other varieties - may need fleecing in winter months
  • Suitable for wet and chalky soils, wind-exposed growing areas but does require partial shade
  • Extremely vigorous and disease resistant variety with unequalled yield potential

The Fruit

  • Very large crops of medium sized berries
  • Very sweet tasting when ripe but if picked early have a sharp tang
  • Well presented, attractive black and shiny berries of 5-6g each
  • Berries do not soften or lose shine in hot conditions
